Bed & Breakfast "One Step from St. Peter"
The place was fabulous! It was clean, very close to the Vatican and metro for a great price! Friedrich and his family were also very nice, helpful, and accomodating. It's quiet and small, which was wonderful. There's no wifi, but the common computer has skype and everything else.

Friederich was very helpful to us. He told us where and how to go in the city, recommended things, allowed use of the kitchen, free postcards, etc. There were three bathrooms, all with showers, but only one was a decent shower. The other two were the tiniest shower closets so that everyone wanted to use the one bigger bathroom. That kind of sucked, especially paying for a private room, but everything else was awesome.

A great place to stay if you want to have a bit of privacy but still want to encounter other people and save some dough. Not in the center, but still an advantageous location - close to the Vatican and to the subway.

For where it was, what I paid and what I got, all in all a delightful place. A stones through from the Vatican, walking distance to all the sights. Surrounded by some amazing restaurants and cafes. Two blocks from the metro, easy to locate. The owner was a very affable chap who was more than eager to help out. Well worth it.

Good place to recharge the batteries after a day of visit in Rome. Close to Vatican but bit far from the rest (by walk). Although you have good beds, nice and warm. Good showers with no limit hot water. Free internet (one computer for everyone but often available). Free breakfest with simple good stuff to eat like bread, jam, etc. And its also clean! Bad points: decoration could be better and key deposit of 50 its too expensive. I recomend it if you want peace and if you dont mind walking.

Awesome place. Our hosts were very welcoming, helpful and informative. The place is quiet, clean, secure, and within walking distance of most major attractions. The room was very comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend 1 Step from St. Peter.
You really feel at home in 1 Step from St. Peter. I enjoyed my stay very much and the owner is a really nice guy.

Friedrich was very accommodating and gave us great tips on places to go and eat. I felt very comfortable there and safe. The location is very close to the Vatican and the Metro stop. I would definitely stay there again.

Such a fantastic and beautiful place, free internet, big TV, DVD player and stereo in a large modern common room in great location, excellent value for money! Kati the staff member looked after us and made sure we were settled in, she was so lovely and very helpful. We had a great time staying here and didnt want to leave! Definitely recommend 1 Step from St Peter to everyone and will definitely stay here again when we return to Rome!

The accomodations were exceptional: spotlessly clean with simple and tasteful decor. The huge wooden doors of the entrance into the building were magnificent and the "cage" elevator was delightful. The hosts were especially friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing which is what is needed after a full and long day of sight-seeing. It is an an EXCELLENT place to stay when visiting Rome. It deserves 5 stars. Nearby, there were many small and quaint restaurants that fit all budgets. They served good food at reasonable prices. AND there was a fantastic gelatto and yogurt cafe about two blocks away (for only 2 Euros you get a generous serving of fragulla and limone yogurt topped with whipped cream and a cookie--enough to share). One Step from St. Peter was an exceptional place at an exceptional price. Regardless of age, gender, professional or student status, One Step from St. Peter will please everyone. Rome was a great place to visit and One Step from St. Peter made our visit even better because we knew we had a safe, clean, quiet and restful place "to go home to" each night. O.R. It's simply one of the best places we've stayed in. The owner is very nice and helpful. This place is very homey and so great to go "home" to after a hot and tiring day in Rome ;-). You can cook and wash there, and get a cup of espresso to wake you up every day. It's THE place to stay in Rome. Will definitely stayed there again when we're going to go to Rome :). Keep up the good work!
Excellent place to stay, staff were very friendly and very helpful. Good location and provides a good base from which to explore the city. Within easy reach of metro and bus.
This guesthouse was wonderful and everyone was so freindly. It is in a wonderful part of Rome allowing easy access to the buses and underground trains, lots of nightlife in the area, and only a couple of blocks away from major sites. The guesthouse itself was very well kept up, everything was neet and clean, quiet in the evenings, and they even offered breakfast in the morning and a kitchen.

The room was bright clean cheery and immaculate. The place was not however party friendly... it was more of a family place. I'd recommend it though if you don't mind not drinking.Paragraph. Fai clic qui per effettuare modifiche.

This is a wonderful place. The location is really great and Friederich is lovely, helpful and well informed about Rome and its atracations. If you are going to Rome, there is not a better place to stay.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and we loved it. A brilliant place that made our weekend that much better. The owner, Frederic, happily spent half an hour telling me about all the cool stuff to do and see in Rome and was really helpful with everything. The neighborhood is beautiful and friendly with loads of tree lined streets and happy looking people. We'll definitely be back! Also, check out L'isola della Pizza nearby on via Scipioni. A fantastically busy & fun restaurant.
Very pleased with what we received for the price. The room (double) was enormous and very clean. The shower rooms were also very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with free cereal, yoghurts, sweet buns and fruit juice - all you need for breakfast. Friedrich, the owner, was quite helpful, although an "on demand" host he is not! He did, however, recommend a couple of excellent restaurants - the pizzeria was particularly good. Highly recommended place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1 Step from St Peter. The facility was extremely clean and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location was terrific - just a few blocks from a Metro station or just a few more blocks to the heart of the city. We would recommend this B&B to our best friends.
This bed and breakfast was beautiful. The place was amazing and VERY clean. We didn't see much of Frederich but he was helpful the first day giving us maps and showing us where and where not to go. It was very quiet, not a party place if that's what you're looking for (we were not). The only thing I would suggest is maybe getting another station or two on the television. When settling down at night there was nothing for us to watch on tv except Aljezeera! Thanks again for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back in the future.
You really feel at home in 1 Step from St. Peter. I enjoyed my stay very much and the owner is a really nice guy.

This place is so beautiful, convenient and awesome that I almost don\'t want to tell anyone else how great it is. It is just around the corner from the Ottaviano stop in Rome, minutes away from St. Peter\'s and the Vatican Museums. There is an elevator and I think it is in a great neighborhood. You can save even more money by buying groceries at the local market and eating there. Friedrich is really accomodating and knowlegable about the area. I didn\'t want to leave!

Friedrich was excellent with his information and recomendations. Location is a bit out of the centre, but close to metro and buses and easy 10 minute walk to St. Peters Square.
